The words subtlety, elegance, finesse, delicacy and silk perfectly describe the Gran Reserva 904 Selección Especial 2015, which is a blend of 90% Tempranillo with 10% Graciano. The grapes were visually sorted for the first time and fermented in stainless steel, where the wine also underwent malolactic fermentation. It was placed in American oak barrels built by our own coopers in January 2016 and matured there for four years. 2015 was a perfect vintage with balanced ripeness and good aging potential. It is labeled Selección Especial , the first 904 to do so, as La Rioja Alta has high hopes for this vintage and believes it is one of the best . With a little more time it will develop the refinement and silkiness that are the hallmark of the 904.
So, don't hesitate to put a few bottles of this Spanish classic aside and let it pamper you at times.
