Another new micro-cuvée from Drappier is the Extra-Brut Clarevallis, a bottling that pays homage to the Abbey of Clairvaux, whose monks pioneered viticulture in Urville. It offers aromas of crisp golden fruit trees, white flowers and stone fruits, mixed with hints of clear honey and green almonds. It's medium to full-bodied, meaty and vinous, with subtle depth at the core, tangy acidity and a lively, on-point mousse . With its chalky finish it is definitely worth a discovery, awarded an incredible 94 points by Robert Parker.
