This Argentiera was artfully aged for a year in half-new barriques. A seductive ruby ​​red sparkles in the glass. The nose is greeted by an orchestra of dark fruits: intense black cherry meets juicy blueberry and refreshing cranberry, refined by vanilla, cedar essence, hints of a cigar box and nuances of coconut and graphite. The fragrance experience is complemented by autumnal forest notes and a floral potpourri. The olfactory journey impresses with its elegance, lightness and, above all, its balance. A pure cassis explosion unfolds on the palate, but without the hint of overripeness, but rather tangy and refreshing. This is followed by notes of sour cherry and black cherry. A fine, powdery minerality dances in harmony with delicate spice accords: bay leaf, nutmeg and dark chocolate. Ethereal notes of juniper combine with the minerality of iron ore, toasted pine nuts and the floral charm of lavender. You might think you are far away from warm Tuscany, because this Bolgheri surprises with its impressive freshness and stands out from many overcrowded wines from the same region and price category.
