Here comes the prestigious Copa Santa ! An oeuvre by Pierre Clavel... A legend in a bottle! Since its debut vintage in 1992, this wine has never disappointed its admirers. Already in the bouquet, the Copa Santa reveals its lavish origins, with aromas of thyme and an intense fruitiness of blackberries, black cherries, fresh beetroot, a hint of blood orange and dark chocolate. On the palate it enchants with a balance between juicy fruitiness and heartiness, never harsh. The fine acidity brings a pleasant freshness to the wine. The Copa Santa is a jewel of the Southwest with Mediterranean charisma.
Another thing about the cultivation: The vines for the Copa Santa - 65% Syrah, 25% Grenache and 10% Mourvèdre - thrive on Galets Roulets, a layer of large, polished pebbles. The grapes are fermented in concrete containers using a tried-and-tested method and then mature in used barriques for 20 months.
