One would have thought that the almost complete 2014 Shiraz The Armagh set all the standards, but then came this 2018, bottled under Stelvin. This wine was not aged in American oak as 2017 was the first year with 100% French oak. This is also the first year of using Puncheons instead of Hogsheads. But that's hardly of interest because it's so overwhelming, sensational, with a perfect fruit profile and orange oil character that it sets the new benchmark. Fresh, beguiling, supple, intense, elegant, refined and full-bodied - all the good and important things that come together here. This is a superstar .
